Muna Easa Al Gurg is the Director of Retail of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, a multidivisional conglomerate with 27 companies. The Group is active in several industry sectors that include retail, building and construction, industrial, real estate and joint ventures.

Since 2008, Al Gurg has been Chairwoman of Young Arab Leaders UAE, where she promotes education, entrepreneurship and youth development.

Al Gurg has been advocating a greater role for women in business. In 2015 she launched the Muna Al Gurg Scholarship at London Business School, supporting female students studying in the school’s MBA and Executive MBA programme.

Al Gurg is on the board of several non-profit organisations, such as the Emirates Foundation for Youth Development where she works closely with its Chairman, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. At the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation, she is responsible for strategy and initiatives both in the UAE and internationally. She is a member of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Sustainability Board, which is mandated to provide innovative and sustainable solutions to refugees in the MENA region. Finally, she is a founding board member of Endeavor UAE, a non-profit organisation promoting high-impact entrepreneurship in emerging and growth markets.

In June 2010, Muna was recognised and presented the Emirates Women’s Award for outstanding achievers by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

She started her career with Saatchi & Saatchi in Dubai, and consequently joined the family business in 2001. She holds an MBA from London Business School in the UK and is also a Fellow of the Middle East Leadership Initiative of The Aspen Institute.

Badr Jafar is Managing Director of the Crescent Group, a 46 year old UAE-based family business group. The Group comprises of two main companies: Crescent Petroleum, the region’s first independent and privately-owned petroleum company in the Middle East; and Crescent Enterprises, the Group’s conglomerate operating across six core sectors. Through his passion for social entrepreneurship, Badr sits on the Global Board of Education for Employment (EFE), the Global Honorary Board of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, is a member of the Synergos Arab World Social Innovators (AWSI) Program Board of Governors and is a Founding Board Member of Endeavor UAE, an initiative encouraging high-impact entrepreneurship. Badr is active with higher education institutions, chairing the Alumni Advisory Council of the Cambridge University Judge Business School and serving as Board Member of their International Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Business Advisory Council of the American University of Sharjah. Badr is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation, serving as Ex-Officio Chair of the YPO Emirates Chapter. Badr was honoured as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and is Vice-Chair of their Global Agenda Council on Energy Security.

Dana Juffali is currently a Board Member at the Shefa Fund, Director of Business Development at Khaled Juffali Holding Company, Board Member at E.A. Juffali & Brothers, Saudi Enaya Health Insurance, and the Help Center in Saudi Arabia. Dana previously held managerial positions at Siemens AG in Germany and Saudi Arabia in Human Resources and Supply Chain Management. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree from Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin.

Mihaela is Partner at Augmentation X, a business innovation studio, that creates novel digital products and solutions aiming to support organisations transform and grow, as well as Founder of Concerto TIC (The Impact Company), a boutique sustainability strategy and impact communications advisory firm. Prior to her current roles, Mihaela has been, for more than a decade, dedicated to building growth strategies across a wide spectrum of levels and support organisations steer away from the current business as usual paradigm.

Her long-term vision supported her lead successful projects within the hospitality sector, having developed and driven the largest paid membership program of IHG MENA as well as restructured and led the membership strategy of the most prominent business club in the region, Capital Club Dubai.

With a passion for impact and triple bottom line, Mihaela is also the host of The Impact Talks and engages in public speaking, moderating panel discussions and writing for publications which have an aim in changing the narrative around sustainability.

Mihaela is also part of the informal GCC Impact Group led by Expo Live, an Expo 2020 Dubai initiative and a member of the working group which conceptualised the definitions for impact enterprises and impact investing, which sit at the foundation of developing a certification for social (impact) enterprises in the region and stimulating capital flows towards the impact ecosystem.
