Gender and Supply Chain Governance: Building Resilient Value Chains

Gender and Supply Chain Governance: Building Resilient Value Chains

Pearl Initiative’s Diversity in Business Leadership Programme, in partnership with Gulf Sustain, invites you to join an upcoming webinar exploring how gender considerations can be embedded into supply chain governance to strengthen organisational resilience, risk management and long-term value creation.

Taking place on 7 September, from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm GST, the session will examine the role of women across global and regional supply chains, and the opportunity for organisations to better reflect their contribution within governance and decision-making frameworks.

As businesses across the Gulf strengthen corporate governance practices and respond to evolving stakeholder expectations, integrating gender considerations into supply chain governance is becoming increasingly important. Beyond advancing inclusion, a more gender-responsive approach can support operational resilience, strengthen risk management, foster stronger supplier relationships and contribute to sustainable business performance.

The discussion will explore practical ways organisations can advance gender inclusion across their supply chains, with a focus on leadership, procurement, supplier engagement and organisational policies. Drawing on practical examples and actionable insights, the panellists will consider how embedding gender considerations within supply chain governance can help organisations build more resilient value chains and create long-term value.

Speakers:

  • Inès Cases, Partnership and Coordination Specialist – GCC Liaison Office UN Women
  • Verona Naidoo, Vice President of People & Culture, Middle East, Africa and Türkiye, Accor
  • Manali Desai, Founder and MD, Evolve Strategy
