The Pearl Initiative convened a high-level dialogue in Dubai under the theme “Governance for Resilient Health Systems”, uniting global leaders from organisations including the IRC, UNHCR, WHO Foundation, and Nabta Health to explore the critical role of governance in strengthening health systems amid global crises. With global health aid projected to fall to USD 38.4 billion by the end of 2025, discussions underscored the urgent need for transparent, strategic, and trust-based funding to build sustainable and equitable health responses.

The event highlighted how ethical innovation, long-term investment, and accountable philanthropy are essential to tackling health challenges—from fragile system infrastructure to the USD 1 trillion global mental health gap. Through its Governance in Philanthropy Programme, Pearl Initiative continues to champion responsible giving and transparent governance practices across the Gulf region and beyond.
