Donors, whether individual, corporate, or institutional, need to understand how their contributions have been utilised and the impact they have achieved. This is critical information for strategic donors who want to demonstrate positive change, share lessons from their work or even review and evaluate their giving framework. Additionally, this practice can help identify further non-financial support that their non-profit partners might need in order to scale the impact of their activities.

This hands-on workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills to conduct rigorous impact evaluations for their interventions. It will cover all aspects of planning, designing, and implementing an impact evaluation.

The main objectives of this workshop are as follows:

  • To understand the basic concepts of impact evaluation (designing, collecting data, analysing and reporting)
  • To provide guidelines, tools, and methodologies to effectively measure the impact of programmes
  • To learn how to create an impact measurement framework
  • To reflect on best practices in impact evaluation
